Summer's almost out: Ogden City schools start Friday, Aug 21, and Weber School District follows Monday, Aug 24. Two weeks sounds like plenty — until it isn't. Knock these out this week and coast into the first day.

✔ Grab the supply list — posted on your school's website by grade
✔ Book the physical & immunizations — August appointments fill fast, and Utah requires certain shots to start
✔ Shift bedtimes earlier — start now, 15 minutes at a time, so the first morning isn't a shock
✔ Mark Back-to-School Night — watch your school's calendar for the date

Weber County showed up for its kids this weekend. Hundreds of hot rods and customs rolled into the 5th annual Ogden car show Saturday, with proceeds going to Youth Impact Ogden — a nonprofit that runs free after-school programs for at-risk kids across the county. A parking lot full of cool cars, and every dollar pointed at a kid who needs it. Not bad for a Saturday.

Book the kids' back-to-school haircuts and dental or eye checkups now — the late-August rush is real.
